Shopify & WordPress Developer

Role Overview

Cureza Studio is looking for a versatile Shopify & WordPress Developer to craft bespoke e-commerce stores and corporate websites. You will write clean, custom Liquid code and PHP themes without relying on heavy bloatware builders, ensuring enterprise-grade page speed, seamless API integrations, and conversion-focused UI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom, responsive Shopify themes from scratch using Liquid, HTML5, SCSS/Tailwind, and Vanilla JavaScript / React components.
• Build custom WordPress themes and custom Gutenberg blocks using PHP, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), and REST APIs.
• Engineer WooCommerce custom features, checkout optimizations, payment gateway integrations, and subscription systems.
• Optimize websites for 90+ Google PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals across mobile and desktop devices.
• Perform store migrations, complex data imports/exports, app integrations (Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo), and custom webhook flows.
• Collaborate with UI designers to implement pixel-perfect responsive layouts with smooth micro-interactions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years of dedicated web development experience in Shopify (Liquid, Theme CLI) and WordPress theme development.
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Tailwind), JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, and MySQL.
• Solid experience with Shopify Storefront API, GraphQL, Liquid objects, and Shopify App architecture.
• Expertise in custom WordPress theme development, Hooks/Filters API, REST API, and Custom Post Types.
• Deep experience in web performance tuning, asset optimization, lazy loading, and caching strategies.
• Proficiency with Git version control and Figma-to-code precision.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Headless Shopify (Hydrogen + Remix / Next.js).
• Knowledge of custom Shopify App development (Node.js / Remix / GraphQL).
• Familiarity with server management, cPanel, Nginx, and DNS setup.
